American Center for Law and Justice

The media segment of an international not-for-profit organization purchased a 1-1/2 story recreational center with the intent of creating a unique environment for their Nashville office. Collaborative Studio designed the adaptive reuse of this facility to provide functional spaces supporting the studio media requirements and specialty areas including a radio studio, video studio, viewing room and band performance venue.

United Methodist Publishing House

Collaborative Studio developed a comprehensive project design for the adaptive reuse of the “Fountain Square” property in Metro Center to become the new corporate campus for United Methodist Publishing House. The design solution included exterior renovations, structural modifications, and major interior conversions to create a new office environment for this publishing company. The design incorporated sustainable design solutions to meet a challenging budget and timeline.

Courtyard Marriott and Residence Inn – Kansas City, MO

The Kansas City Courtyard Marriott and Residence Inn hotel project in downtown Kansas City features 257 guestrooms, meeting rooms, library, business center, bistro, fitness center and an indoor pool.  The two hotels have one customized registration desk that combines the requirements of the two brands.  The lobby space features customized finishes and FF&E items that meld together the Courtyard and Residence Inn prototypes as well as compliment the aesthetics of Kansas City’s “Arts District” location.

Forrester Research

Collaborative Studio designed an urban office environment for the newly established Nashville office of Forrester Research. Featured spaces include collaborative open workspaces, vistas, team rooms and a social hub.

Hilton Garden Inn – Downtown Nashville

The new Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Nashville features custom public spaces unlike any other in the brand’s lineup of premiere hotels. Chartwell Hospitality requested that Collaborative Studio adapt Hilton Garden Inn’s brand standard to the urban environment of Nashville’s SoBro area.

This was achieved through abstracting the local natural elements of Middle Tennessee and carrying those elements through the public spaces. The materials and finishes employed throughout
the hotel blend the urban fabric of Downtown Nashville with the colors, shapes, and textures of the parks and natural areas in and around Nashville.

HCA HR One Franklin Park

Collaborative Studio designed a corporate office space for the HR department to meet new department initiatives. New office design incorporates interior glass front offices, open office space along exterior glazing to provide natural light and views to all occupants, and meeting spaces with technology connectivity.

OZ Nashville

Having designed the unique headquarters for CAO cigars, Collaborative Studio collaborated with the clients to bring their vision of creating Nashville’s first contemporary arts center to reality. The high design of the headquarters adapted easily to accommodate art exhibits. The warehouse redesign included functional areas for performances, additions of lighting trusses and theatrical lighting, and mechanical & electrical system upgrades.  Additionally, wood-paneled walls were added to flank the space and create the Grand Salon.  The end result is a venue that surprises visitors when they walk through the humble warehouse exterior into OZ.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman

When Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman decided to bring a shared service office to the Nashville area, they looked to Collaborative Studio to design a space reflecting their company brand and culture in the iconic AT&T building. Collaborative Studio developed a contemporary functional space plan, encouraging a synergistic workflow, while implementing the latest media technology. The new workplace includes conference rooms, training spaces, collaborative zones, private offices, and open office areas. The Pillsbury brand was considered in every design detail. Collaborative Studio created custom signage, tinted glass film, and a flowing carpet design to reinforce the company brand from floor to ceiling.

PICA

Podiatry Insurance Company of America (PICA), the nation’s leading provider of liability insurance for podiatry physicians and chiropractors, wanted their new 50,000 square foot headquarters in Franklin, Tenn. to accommodate their current and future requirements. The leaders of the organization requested a design that complemented the work functions of each group. Therefore, employee input was critical at each phase of the design. Another important goal was to create a sustainable design that would provide flexible utility access, maximize views and natural light, and implement ways to save energy and reduce waste.

HCA Regional Data Center – Nashville

Collaborative Studio led a team to analyze function and system needs for a new HCA Regional Data Center in Nashville.  A business case summary was prepared and presented resulting in the project being funded.  A 100,000 SF facility was constructed including office areas, a network operations center, 40,000 SF 0f white space, and related utility areas.
